The Fastest Meal of the Day is a single-player breakfast themed kart racer with 8 characters and one track to choose from. Take the lead by making use of various items including eggs, blue berries, coffee, and more. You can even collect up to 10 dough bits scattered along the track to increase your speed and upgrade your items.
Drift around every turn and leap off of ramps to maintain a continuous stream of turbo boost. You can boost anywhere from 2 to 5 times during a drift depending on your chosen character. Each character has a unique driving feel with varying skill floors and ceilings.
The game supports XInput controllers such as Xbox 360 controllers.
The game has only been opened in Unity 5.2.3, but might still work in later versions. The project may take 30 minutes or more to open for the first time since there are a lot of big, compressed textures and the track mesh is set to generate lightmap UVs. The lightmaps might need to be baked again if everything looks dark, but you might also get errors when baking the lightmaps because of a bug in this version of Unity. I am not offering support with this project.
The code/scripts in the project are covered by the MIT License. I do ask for attribution along with this. Model, texture, and audio assets are covered by the Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND).
